CINCINNATI, OH--OCTOBER 1, 2012- The Cincinnati NAACP Leadership started sleeping out at the Board of Elections 5 years ago to kick off early voting in Hamilton County. Our team has been the first to vote each year. The Cincinnati NAACP Executive Committee saw citizens standing in line to purchase popular phones, books, and video game consoles. Our right to vote as Americans is more important than any material item and deserves attention. "We like the fact that politicians and citizens join the Cincinnati NAACP members at the doors of the Board of Elections. Voting is at the core of the mission of the Cincinnati NAACP. Most years the weather has not been perfect and tonight will be no different but that does not stop us from voting," Christopher Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati NAACP said. |
