This week, you and every American will receive an official Census form in the mail. Every 10 years, our country takes a census - a national survey sent to every home in America. The U.S. Census decides important things, such as how many members of Congress OH will have, and how much funding Washington will give to places like Morrow.

Communities of color have historically been undercounted in the Census. That is why the NAACP has launched the Yes We Count campaign - a national network of people committed to making sure our voices count.

Will you sign up to help the Yes We Count campaign? Add your cell phone number to the list of people willing to talk to their friends, family and neighbors and make sure their community counts. By adding your number to the campaign, we will be able to communicate with you about Census-related events and opportunities in your community via text message:

Your participation is important.  The government uses numbers reported in the Census to make important decisions for our country, such as where they'll spend money on schools, hospitals, and senior centers.  And towns and businesses use Census data to decide how much they'll invest in new homes and jobs.

When families do not participate, they lose out on these resources, and they lose out on leaders fighting for them in Congress.

Communities of color are the ones who stand to benefit the most from the Census, but historically we have been undercounted.  We need your help.  Take a moment to add your phone number to the Yes We Count campaign - we cannot do it without you:
