• The Cincinnati NAACP extends its deepest condolences and prayers to Marianne Spencer and family for the loss of her husband Donald Spencer.  Donald Spencer passed yesterday afternoon May 4, 2010.  Donald Spencer was 95 years old.  The Spencers would have been married 70 years on August 12, 2010.  Donald Spencer was a Life Member of the Cincinnati NAACP.  Funeral services will be Saturday, May 8, 2010.  Mrs. Spencer and family are working out the final details.  The services will be held at the Hyde Park Methodist Church. The Cincinnati NAACP will keep our members updated as we gather more information.

• The trial for Christopher Smitherman that was scheduled for Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 9:00 am in Judge Melissa Powers Courtroom has been cancelled and RESCHEDULED for Tuesday, JUNE 15, 2010 at 9:00 am. Judge Powers courtroom is 240.
