May 24, 2010 . Cincinnati NAACP Announcements . - Council Member Charlie Winburn is holding hearing today on pass throughs and front companies at 1:00 pm in Council Chambers. Also it is the Cincinnati NAACP understanding that there will be discussion surrounding the lack of Cincinnati workers that have participated in building the BANKS Project. The AMOS organization raised this issue and now is proven right about the lack of Cincinnati workers on the BANKS Project. African Americans are not building the BANKS Project.
. - President Dock Foster goes to trial this week ON Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 9:00 am in Judge Fanon Rucker's courtroom 270. Please come down and support President Dock Foster. Cincinnati NAACP President Christopher Smitherman will be fasting and praying on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 until May 26, 2010 and encourages all who support Dock Foster to join him. The fast is a symbol of solidarity and acknowledgment of President Dock Foster's sacrifice.
. - Cincinnati NAACP general membership meeting is on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Integrity Hall located at 2081 Seymour Avenue. All are encouraged to come out and attend the meeting. The membership will be voting on whether Club Ritz should remain open or close. We have extended an invitation to Club Ritz owner to address the membership on Thursday. We will also reach out to the Burroughs family.
