Cincinnati NAACP President Christopher Smitherman was re-elected tonight for a two year term.

CINCINNATI, OHIO - November 16, 2010 - Cincinnati NAACP President
Christopher Smitherman
was re-elected tonight for a two year term.
The branch will continue to focus on a campaign to desegregate the
dollar in Cincinnati. However, the branch will increase its visibility
in the areas of health, education and youth violence.  "I am honored
to serve as President of one of the oldest units in the United States
of America.  The Cincinnati NAACP membership continues to grow and
remains active on relevant issues,"president Smitherman says.

Juanita Adams was re-elected as the First Vice President.  Willa
Shelby was re-elected as the Second Vice President.  Tracy Gragston
was re-elected as the Third Vice President.  Beverly Morton was
re-elected as Treasurer.  Michelle Edwards was re-elected as
Secretary.  All Executive Committee Members were re-elected.  "We have
assembled a strong team with a deep bench.  This has allowed the
Cincinnati NAACP to expand its capacity in dealing with complicated
issues in the most productive way that yields results for the African
American community," Juanita Adams, First Vice President of the
Cincinnati NAACP said.

The Cincinnati NAACP would like to thank Margaret Horton, Chair of the
Election Supervisory Committee and the Election Supervisory Committee
for planning and supervising a transparent and ethical election.  "I
thank the committee for an efficient and smooth election.  Each of the
committee members were very easy to work with," Margaret Horton said.
