CINCINNATI, OHIO- December 1, 2010 - The Sixth Circuit Court ruled in
favor of the Hunter Campaign. The Sixth Circuit Court has ordered the
Board of Elections to follow Judge Dlott's order. Judge Dlott ordered
that the Board of Elections must count 260 votes prior to the
certification of the election. These 260 votes were cast at the right
poll but the wrong table. "The poll workers were not trained. The
Board of Elections consolidated polls to save money but did not train
poll workers to direct citizens to the right table. The Cincinnati
NAACP agrees with Judge Dlott and the Sixth Circuit Court that poll
worker error should not invalidate an American citizen's vote. The
Board of Elections will begin the count by Friday. There is a
difference of 23 votes between the two candidates," Christopher
Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati NAACP said.
