(1/17/11): Christopher Smitherman Receives Keeper of Dream Award |

Christopher Smitherman, President of the Cincinnati NAACP Branch, received the "Keeper of Dream" Award at the 7th Annual Voices of the Valley Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday held on January 17, 2011 at the Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Lincoln Heights, Ohio. The Voices of the Valley is an association of eight churches in the Woodlawn and Lincoln Heights communities. The Theme of the occassion was: "The Dream Lives Onward". The "Keeper of Dream" Award recognizes and honors President Smitherman for his contributions to and passion for justice for all that is helping move the Cincinnati community closer to Dr. King's dream of equality and justice for all. Congratrulations President Smitherman! Well deserved!
