Focus:: Protecting and Advancing Civil Rights in our community in areas where major disparities still exist: A)Education GOAL: Ensure that all students have access to an equal and high-quality public education by eliminating education-related racial and ethnic disparities. Actions/Results: . --Cinti NAACP adopted South Avondale Elementary B)Economic EmpowermentGOAL: Accelerate economic growth in our communities and eliminate racial and ethnic economic disparities. Actions/Results: --Exposed and challenged the failure of Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) to deliver business to African American Businesses from its $1billion building program: --Exposed and challenged the failure of Cincinnati Small Business Enterprise (SBE) to deliver business to African American Businesses: --Worked with other organizations to influence economic inclusion and accountability for the Banks Project. An African American Developer has been selected for the Banks project. The Project will be monitored for delivery of other economic inclusion results C)Healthcare GOAL: Increase access to high quality healthcare for all citizens and promote the creation of policies and practices that reduce health-related disparities among people of color.
