Media Release from the Cincinnati Branch of the NAACP

Christopher Smitherman, President of the Cincinnati NAACP, announces auditions for a Mass Choir.  First Christian Assembly (FCA) of God located at 220 William Howard Taft will be the host location for auditions for the Mass Choir for the NAACP National Convention happening this July 2008. This is an opportunity to showcase local talent on the National Stage. Auditions are for the 500 person mass choir. Chris Beard, Pastor of FCA , has opened up his church to the Cincinnati NAACP for the auditions. The Cincinnati NAACP thanks FCA and Pastor Beard for their generosity. Reverend Hope, Chairman of Religious Affairs for the National NAACP will be present at the audition times listed below. Rev. Hope has been involved in this process for over 30 years.

The times for the auditions are:

Thursday, April 10, 2008 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM

Friday, April 11, 2008 11:00 AM-1:00 PM

Friday, April 11, 2208 4:00 PM- 6:30 PM
