CINCINNATI, OHIO - MARCH 10, 2011 - The Governor of Ohio is pulling
the capital money for the streetcar.  These are the dollars needed to
build the project. "Even when faced with the reality of $52 million
being pulled from the project the Mayor and Council have stated they
are moving forward.  Cincinnati cannot afford a streetcar,"
Christopher Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati NAACP says.
.
City Council will announce yet again a major deficit for the City of
Cincinnati.  City Council will again discuss city worker layoffs.
"This deal looks like the stadium deal.  It is really bad.  Citizens
must join together to stop Council from sending our great city into
bankruptcy.  Bankruptcy is not progress," Smitherman said.
